History
Southwestern Roofing & Metal was founded in 1954 by Vernon Newell and Jack Seitsinger. While commercial roofing has been the core business for over 70 years, Southwestern has been involved in a variety of projects and trades, including the building of toll booths for the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority, manufacturing high-pressure spiral pipe to the design and installation of acoustical grid ceiling systems. We have done work all over the United States and have gone as far as Greenland at the Thule Air Force Base.
In 1982, we moved into our newly built office building at 4300 N. Santa Fe Ave., where we still reside. The signature glass and copper facade of our building was “state of the art” in its day and was intended to be a representation of the company’s philosophy: “Don’t be afraid to try something new.”
Nearly seven decades later, Vernon’s tradition of providing quality and innovative roofing systems while offering unsurpassed customer satisfaction remains at the center of all we do.
